THE BIG HIT ON THE GROUP!

Ok i didn't think this would happen but it has and it has to be the worst thing ever. Luke is leaving! he has decided that 6th form isn't for him and has gone and got himself a job. i cant believe he is leaving. thankfully he don't leave till Monday so when we film the rest Friday he will come in and help us and he said that if we need help with filming anymore to just call him so it's not that bad. I'm gonna miss him though he was a great laugh and was so funny when we were filming last Friday. When he told me today my first initial reaction was to hit him but if he don't want to be here then i guess i cant stop him from leaving. I am not going to let this make us fall behind even more we can't afford to do that but it is a big blow for the group especially jack as he is now the only boy. Sophie and I are going to rule him!

One of my Inspirations!

I thought that the title sequence to Casino Royal was brilliant. its very different to what i have seen before and I was amazed the whole way through. The film had alot of great expectations and I think that it lived up to them fully. It was a tremendous start, I imagined it would be quite hard to make a title sequence to that as the films are so legendary but they made it look easy. The variety you have going on there makes this title sequence truly inspirational to me.

More Discussions and Actions!

We uploaded the film on the macs today and found that we didn't like alot of it. There are some shots that don't work and there are some other shots where you can see me at the side of it. we decided that we didn't think that the blood we used does not look good at all so we are going to film that scene once more and get it right as Nina said that she has fake blood we can use which was like life saving because the "blood" we used (it was red paint watered down) looked shockingly bad so it has to go. We are going to upload the bits we have on to our now just as a first draft and then once we have finished the second one we Will put that up on here but who knows we could have another draft before we get one that we all like and is good enough. I personally think that it is going to look quite good. There is not alot of dialogue at all which I like as now the audience will be fixated to whats on the screen and not to what they are saying. wee took some stills today to put in the title sequence I think that they will look really good. i am so excited to see how it turns out, it seem so close now and i cant wait.

It's Finally Done!

We have finally finished filming and are on our way to be editing and making it an opening sequence. we have had to change a bit of it because we did have the victim in the shower but the water doesn't work in the changing rooms so we had to change it to him getting changed instead, it didn't set us back at all so that was a touch. It took us 3 hours to film it all and i think it was very successful and we got some really good shots. We will just have to wait and see how it goes now wont we.

The Issues and The Problems

We have had alot of bumps in the road when coming to the filming date due to people not beng in, not having the DV tape and n0t having th storyboards. We have now worked out all the kinks in the chain and have the heads up to film which will take place tomorrow.
Another reason i think is that our idea was to bland to start with so we have had to keep adding things to it and taking thngs out that are not needed. I think that we have played it safe so far so and thats why its been looking qute boring but now we have stepped out the box hopefully, fingers crossed it wll work out how we hope it does.

The Discussions!

There have been many discussions on our film and sometimes it seems like we will never sort it out, but in the end we always do end up agreeing. the hate crime was a mutual decision.
we have been getting really excited about filming but something never seemed right and Monday Nina finally told us what. ITS TO SIMPLE! Our story line was to simple and boring, although it was hard to hear it really helped us and bucked our ideas up. we added more scenes and made it more detailed, we have added more characters and more places. we have made it seem more bigger that a gang is behind the murder and we believe that it will make alot of difference and Nina also said that will up our grade also.

the title sequence to diagnosis murder

This one was really good because it shows the tools they might use which was really helpful for us. It is also very different from the others we watched, the music is very mystical.

The title sequence to Crime Scene Investigation!

This is the one we mainly used for inspiration. It's a great title sequence and helped alot with our research into crime drama's. It shows all the apparatus real investigators would use. It appeals to teenagers also so we really wanted to use it for our inspiration because that's our target audience.

WHEN WILL WE START???

Oh yes go on we start filming in 2 weeks and i cant wait, we have finally got someone to pose topless for us and show some of their bum. Thank you Josh Colmy. but i wont say anything else because I'm giving too much away. We have cleared everything up with the P.E department and they are letting us use the showers. We are at the moment doing our storyboards which seem to be taking forever, its really hard because none of us can draw.

Research!!!

For research we watched the title sequence to c.s.i.(crime scene investigation)
we watched the title sequence to murder she wrote, diagnosis murder and Cagney and Lacey, even though they are not films we did get many ideas from them, how to style the characters, the dialogue they would use and some cases that go on.
